Films ("Films," "we," "us") is a camera app for capturing and sharing photos through film-style cameras, including shared "films" you create with other people. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, we do not use it for cross-app tracking, and we do not use your photos or content to train artificial-intelligence models.

| Waitlist email | If you joined our pre-launch waitlist on getfilmsera.cam, we store the email address you submitted, the source/page it came from, the signup date, and — if you ticked the consent box — a record of that consent. We use it only to send a small number of launch emails, and you can unsubscribe at any time. See "Waitlist & launch emails" below. |
We do not collect your location, contacts, microphone, advertising identifier (IDFA), or biometric data, and we do not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or cross-app tracking.
We share data only with the processors that operate the app, under their own terms, and only as needed to run Films:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service. If Films is ever involved in a merger or acquisition, we will require the successor to honor this policy.
A shared film is visible to the people you invite to it. The photos you add, your member display name, and the frames attributed to you are shown to other members of that film. Only add people you trust, and only capture content you're comfortable sharing with the film.

To exercise any of these, email support@getfilmsera.cam. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally within 30 days). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising — and we never have. There is nothing to opt out of because we don't do it. We don't use your data for targeted advertising or "sell" it as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar US state laws.
If you are a resident of California or another US state with privacy rights, you may request to know, access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. To make a request, email support@getfilmsera.cam; you may appeal a decision by replying to our response. The categories of personal information we collect, our purposes, and the providers we disclose it to (only to operate the app) are described above and in "Who we share it with."
Before launch, people could join a waitlist on getfilmsera.cam by submitting an email address. We use those addresses solely to send a small number of launch-related emails, then we stop. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can remove yourself at any time at getfilmsera.cam/unsubscribe. Unsubscribing suppresses any further emails; to delete your address entirely, email support@getfilmsera.cam. We do not sell or rent waitlist emails, and we do not share them for anyone else's advertising.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above:
We may retain limited records longer where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Backups are cycled out on a rolling basis.
Films and its providers may process and store data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored with our backend provider. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.
Films is intended for people aged 13 and older (or the higher minimum age required in your country, such as 16 in parts of the EEA). It is not directed to children under that age, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first at support@getfilmsera.cam so we can try to resolve it. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We may update this policy. We will revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
